PERSONAL:

My volleyball career started out fairly early. I went to a small private grade school
in Eugene called Life! Lutheran School, where I was introduced to the sport of volleyball
in the 5th grade. From 5th through 8th grade, I played on the team, and was one of the
few that could serve overhanded, although at that stage in my development, not very
accurately.

I also went to a church bible camp during the summers, where we would have teams and
play. One year we were actually the best team, which for me was a great achievement.

In high school at Willamette, they did not have a men's program, but I played in every PE
class that offered volleyball. I think I even did one course twice, just so I could play.

Now that I am in college, I have had the oppertunity to take an active role in our team, and
am proud to be a Warrior. This is now my third year, and I have grown in my skills and in
my understanding of the game. I hope to continue doing my best and help this team be as
good as it can be.

Playing hard,

Nathan
